We have just had a very wet week and the
resulting flood has brought a few salmon up. I
have received early reports of salmon caught on
the Camowen on Sunday 5th July. Ray Bennett of
Newtownabbey took out a day ticket on saturday
4th July and with the guidance of Paul Donaldson
netted a 3.5lb grilse on the fly at the Meetings
in Newtownstewart. He had the salmon in the net
within 30 minutes of starting to fish!!.
