Angling has been limited due to the very wet
conditions and low temperatures but when the
rivers have been low and the weather a bit warmer
many good trout were being landed throughout our
waters. The warmer days have seen some good
hatches of fly and the trout are rising well to
them.Olives and Blue Duns have been working well.
There are some reports of salmon being visible in
the local waters and the Loughs Agency have
reported 43 salmon as having crossed the weir on
the River Strule, Bridge Street, Omagh. However
we have
had no reports that an angler has caught any of
these Salmon yet. Its hard to say, but we could
be doing with a bit of a change on the weather
front with a little more drier and warmer weather
being the order of the day.
