Reports this week remain good with plenty of fish landed mainly on the upper sections of the Mourne and its tributaries. Among the many Anglers landing fish this week was Davy Campbell (Newtownsteawart) three Grilse on Fly from the Owenkillew river, Nigel Jordan (Moneymore) two Grilse on Fly from the lower Glenelly river, David Fulton (Omagh) with a record breaking fresh run Sea Trout weighing in at a fantastic 11lbs on a Flying C, Raymond Scott (Newtownstewart) two Grilse on Fly from the lower Glenelly and Martin Harvey (Donegal) fishing the upper stretches of the Mournebeg using a Tas Devil landed a 4lb Grilse and released it back safely to the water. I have received reports of Fish from the Derg the Strule and all the main Tributaries of the Mourne this week and with the present high water conditions I feel the upper sections of the system are the hot spots for the next few days until the water levels drop.
