Visitors are welcome to fish the Omagh waters and the club provides 25 tickets daily plus 6 extra tickets for the tourist stretch for non-members. A 2½ mile (4km) stretch of water just outside Omagh at Cappagh (see map) has been developed specifically for use by tourists. Six rods are available on the Cappagh stretch (right bank only) and tourists have priority from Thursday to Sunday. Booking is required through tackle shops in Omagh and Newtownstewart. This section of river is renowned for holding large numbers of salmon. Left bank fishing is available by arrangement with Robert Ellis, Rash, Omagh (Tel 028 8224 4611).
